Knowledge Transfer Partnerships for companies within the area of energy efficiency

KTP, or Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, is a collaboration model that facilitates the exchange of knowledge between businesses and academia, resulting in concrete development projects.

A newly graduated engineer works full-time with a researcher from the university, as well as a business coach, to complete a strategically qualified development project at a company for up to two years. This can include product development, market development, process development, or energy efficiency.

Mälardalen University provides a qualified supervisor and lab resources throughout the project. The project manager receives a market-based salary and the company pays half of the personnel costs, while the remaining costs are financed through project funds.

Throughout the entire process, a process leader from the university ensures the success of the project. Through KTP, new innovations and working methods are created and implemented in companies.
