Renewed contract for Adjunct Professor from Hitachi
MDU has renewed the contract for Adjunct Professor from Hitachi, Subrat Sahoo.
Subrat Sahoo has over 15 years of experience in power systems engineering (including renewable integration, power quality problems, digital substation, and future-proof power network), with expertise in data science in the context of power systems. His current position is Principal Engineer, with a focus on building next generation solutions within the Grid and power quality solutions division.
He started as Adjunct Professor at MDU in February 2024, and the University is now renewing the agreement until March 2026. Subrat is helping bridge the gap between industry and academia both in research and education, where Hitachi sits in the industry council of the energy program.
“Having Subrat as Adjunct Professor is extremely valuable in keeping the academia up-to-date with most critical challenges and solutions within renewable energy systems. Hitachi also values this collaboration because together we can educate future engineers that are up for the current challenges in climate change and green transition”, says Valentina Zaccaria, Deputy Head of Department, Sustainable Energy Systems, MDU.
