Amanda Hansson, who is in her fifth year of the Master of Science in Engineering program with a focus on Industrial Engineering, has been selected for CoGig's prestigious Female Tech Engineer Talent Programme.
We are proud to announce that our student Amanda Hansson, who is in her fifth year of the Master of Science in Engineering program with a focus on Industrial Engineering, has been selected for CoGig's prestigious Female Tech Engineer Talent Programme. Launched in 2019, the program has quickly established itself as an important platform for companies to discover young talents and build long-term partnerships within the tech industry.
A testament to the quality of education
Amanda, who specializes in product and process development, looks forward to participating in the program and sees it as an opportunity to build valuable connections and develop her technical skills.
"I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am really looking forward to the coming weeks, meeting like-minded and driven women, and learning more about the different partner companies in the program," says Amanda.
Why MDU?
We asked Amanda a few questions to learn why she chose MDU and what she finds most valuable about her education:
Why did you choose MDU for your studies?
"I chose to study at MDU because the university has a strong connection to the business world, which I see as a great advantage. Its strategic location in Mälardalen, with proximity to several large companies, makes it possible to establish valuable contacts and gain insights into the industry even during my studies. Another reason is that MDU offers exciting opportunities for exchange studies, which I took advantage of by spending a semester at Politecnico di Milano in Italy – an experience that has been incredibly rewarding both personally and professionally."
What is the best part of the education?
”The best thing about the education is the high quality of teaching and the variety of knowledge we gain. The program combines technical and economic perspectives in a way that makes me feel well-prepared for future challenges in the workforce. The practical and theoretical skills we develop truly feel relevant and valuable for my future career.”
MDU’s success with Female Tech Engineer
Amanda Hansson is not the first student from MDU’s Master of Science in Engineering program with a focus on Industrial Engineering to be selected for CoGig’s talent program. The fact that so many female students from the program have been chosen over the years is a clear indication that the education is of high quality and well-suited to meet the current and future needs of the tech industry and business world, according to Anna Uhlin, Program Coordinator and University Lecturer at MDU.
"It’s fantastic to see that our students continue to be selected for talent programs like this. It confirms that the education is relevant and provides our students with the tools they need to face the challenges of the workforce," says Anna Uhlin.
