Higher education research (HER) at MDU aims to highlight and understand factors that enhance teaching and learning in higher education – especially in a time when societal challenges must be met with knowledge and competence.

For the future we envison that:

Higher education Reserach (HER) is a nationally leading and internationally visible research environment that emphasizes the conditions, values, and developmental opportunities within higher education. The research takes its point of departure in various pedagogical contexts.

We act as a knowledge link between current research and the university’s development by contextualizing research on higher education in dialogue with stakeholders across the institution.

Our research is conducted in close collaboration between academia and society – in a spirit of progressiveness and global citizenship.
